Education : Nuclear Medicine Residency

Resident Research

Residents should become familiar with the current research and developments in Nuclear Medicine and are encouraged to initiate research projects on their own, or to participate in ongoing faculty research projects.

We have offices and computer space that is utilized as a research space for patient accrual and data collection. A room for monitoring and examining patients is also available both at Jackson Memorial Hospital and University of Miami Hospitals & Clinics for monoclonal antibody studies and other research protocols.

One major research project is required of each resident. This original work must also be suitable for submission for possible publication in a major juried radiology journal.
