Radiology Observership Program
The Department of Radiology offers an observership program for qualified physicians and medical students through our Radiology Education Section. Observers will have the opportunity to view a variety of radiologic studies and techniques on which radiologists and clinicians from other disciplines rely for the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Interested participants will be able to observe radiology procedures being performed with state-of-the-art equipment in our Vascular/Interventional Radiology suites. Observers also participate in daily read-outs with the attendings as part of a team. Proficiency in interpreting radiologic studies is attained through exposure and experience, and we hope the time spent with our department will provide an insight into the practice of radiology that will benefit observers in their future medical and/or radiology practices.
Participants will have the opportunity to attend conferences, including:
- Subspecialty Radiology Conferences
- Interdisciplinary Conferences with other clinical teams
- Daily Residents’ Noon Conference
- Daily Medical Student Lectures covering all radiology subspecialties
Length of Observership
The University allows observers to visit for a minimum of one week, up to a maximum of 3 months.
The Department of Radiology charges $100.00 per week of observership, up to a maximum of $1,000.00.
