Vascular Interventional Radiology
Welcome to the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s Vascular and Interventional Radiology section. Our section, a division of the Radiology department, consists of nine board certified vascular and interventional radiologists. As a group we provide vascular and interventional services to the four different hospitals here on the medical campus. Often an optimal alternative to surgery for a wide range of conditions, interventional radiology utilizes image-guided, targeted treatments that improve outcomes and shorten recovery, with less risk and pain, compared to traditional surgery.
Our mission is to provide compassionate, state of the art diagnosis and treatment to patients with a variety of health problems while training the doctors of today to be the interventional radiologists of the future.
The services provided by our section include, but are not limited to:
- Arterial Interventions
- Venous Interventions
- Dialysis Interventions
- Gastrointestinal Interventions
- Genitourinary Interventions
- Biliary Interventions
- Biopsies and Drainages
- Oncological Interventions
- Clinical Service
