Jordanna Pupo, Director of Imaging, received a voicemail from the wife of a patient in February. She wanted to inform leadership of the phenomenal service she received from Mary Camargo at Bascom Palmer Imaging. There had been an error in scheduling her husband, and he arrived on the wrong day for his appointment. He had been scheduled for a different day. The wife explained how difficult it is for her husband to get time off from work, and Mary went beyond the call of duty to ensure he was seen that day. Mary took the responsibility to call the insurance company to obtain approval and would not stop until they said “yes.” She said, “Mary was attentive and patient, and it is not often you come across an employee like this.” The wife also noticed that another patient came in with a similar problem, and Mary handled it in the same professional manner. “She was very humble and insisted this was her job. She is marvelous and a treasure to your organization.”
